To assist the Beaurepaires brand of Goodyear with its brand positioning and working closely with them, GTB was successful in gaining a tender for the provision of 80 truck bodies for their new Mobility project.
After being nominated as the preferred tenderer both companies worked extremely closely over a long period of time to create the type of vehicle that was needed to match their market needs.
This involved designing a truck body that could carry a compressor unit, tyre changer, side lifter and have a tyre rack capable of holding 25+ tyres.
These units were all built within six months after GTB created the flexibility during production to do ongoing R and D, as the project and build program progressed – which was not an easy process.
Recently GTB has also provided two additional smaller prototype units which are currently working infield for both operational and evaluation purposes.
